Being export ready

There are many ways to become export ready, even before you reach the US market. One way is to obtain local and global accreditation of standards such as ISO, HACCP, ASTM, USDA Organic, Kosher, Halal. You can appoint your own specialist consultant to obtain the standards necessary for your industry and product. Another avenue is to make sure that your products carry a globally recognised electronic product code and you obtain a barcode (GTIN and GLN) from GS1. With the barcode, you can also list your product with a GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) certified data pool with the relevant attributes for your business. In addition to your product being listed on a global registry, the data pool will also have the capabilities to help you obtain your accreditation.
